After one and half days dragon fruit workshop, the Dragon Fruit Steering Committee Meeting was held to discuss the future plan of the dragon fruit network project. The meeting is chaired by Dr. Bob Fullerton of the New Zealand Plant and Food Research. FFTC Director Dr. Kuo-Ching Lin was invited to make a presentation on the current status and main challenges of the network project and the function of the Steering Committee Meeting. The committee consists of 11 countries Representives, project consultants, FFTC and SOFRI representatives, Ms. Tess from Mekong Institute and Mr. John Campbell from New Zealand. Speakers and participants discussed and deliberated on the network related issues for two hours and with a solid conclusions of setting at least two networks with team leaders to communicate and cooperate with each other to further explore the potential cooperation issues and mechanism.
