FFTC Director Dr. Kuo-Ching Lin visits the East West Center and meets President Dr. Richard Vuylsteke. With headquarters in Hawaii, the East West Center, also called, the Center for Technical and Cultural Interchange, is an education and research organization established by the U.S. Congress in 1960 to strengthen relations and understanding among the peoples and nations of Asia, the Pacific, and the United States. Through the years, it has become a meeting place of culture and ideas, especially in the discussions of US -Asia relations concerning regional and global issues. East-West Center provides full scholarships each year and invites outstanding scholars to travel to the Center for research academic exchanges. Previously, Director Dr Lin has been invited in 1994 to become a visiting scholar at the Center.
