FFTC Deputy Director Dr. Akira Hasebe, Information Officer Mr. Ronald Mangubat and Assistant Researcher Ms. Keziah Wei recently met with Dr. Susan Chang, Director General of Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park (PABP), one of the agencies of Taiwan’s Council of Agriculture. The only science park dedicated to agriculture, PABP aims to recruit agricultural talents and agri-bio businesses, promote R&D, innovations and marketing functions of agri bio products and the transformation of agriculture and its sustainable operations. On the other hand, Dr. Hasebe discussed the history of FFTC, its mission and current thrusts and focus which are all aligned to its current strategic action plans. Later, the FFTC team had a quick tour of their fisheries snd aquaculture showcase.
