 December 03 2018

Farmers, growers, researchers, and enthusiasts of dragon fruit can now visit the dragon fruit network website in order to access information on one of the most promising tropical fruits. A culmination of three years of successive workshops on dragon fruit production and marketing among players in the dragon fruit industry, FFTC recently took the lead and followed the experts’ recommendation to form a collaborative research network. One of its major activities is to launch a dragon fruit network website containing pertinent information on the production and marketing of dragon fruit.

The website http://df.fftc.agnet.org/Page/Home.aspx, although still a work in progress, contains the various scientific papers from the three dragon fruit workshops that FFTC has organized and conducted together with its partners, the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, the New Zealand Plant and Food Research Institute, the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS) and its two institutes—the Plant Protection Research Institute (PPRI) and the Southern Horticultural Research Institute (SOFRI). It also has news and links to various aspects of growing and marketing of dragon fruit. In the future, the website will be designed to be more interactive.

In the meantime, if you’d like to access more information on dragon fruit click on this link and register.
