The FFTC Working Group serves as a link between the Executive Board and the Secretariat and assists the Executive Board in evaluating the activities and proposals of the Center staff.



The FFTC Executive Board had its yearly meeting last December 9, 2016. The Executive Board is the governing body of the Center, which approves all Center policies, establishes operational procedures and staff regulations, and approves the appointment of the professional staff. It also examines and approves the budget and financial operations of the Center.


FFTC Director Dr. Yu-Tsai Huang welcomes Mr. Desa Hassin, CEO, of the International Tropical Fruit Network (TFNet) (3rd from left). Mr. Hassin and his companions visited FFTC as working partners of the Center in the recently concluded regional workshop on the Control of Dragon Fruit Diseases. TFNet is an independent and self-financing global network established under the auspices of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). It is both intergovernmental and interinstitutional in nature with the role and mandate to promote the sustainable global development of the tropical fruit industry.
